Things To Keep In mind Wile Bathing Your Baby
While bathing your new-born for the first time it’s a moment to cherish throughout your lifetime, at the same time make sure you’re doing it rightly. Generally, babies needn’t bathed every day as they don’t sweat or get dirty very often. Bathing your baby thrice a week is advisable. But if your baby is a water friendly baby and enjoys taking bath then you can bathe them once a day preferably with warm water, not too hot neither too cold water. It is also advisable to use sponge for bathing them in the beginning for a couple of months. Later, they can be exposed to baby soaps but avoid direct touch of any soaps on them. Only baby soaps should be used, avoid using any fragranced soap as they are harsh on baby skin & may lead to allergies and also dry your baby’s delicate skin.
You can also use mild baby shampoo after few months to clean their hair. Gently clean your baby’s hair and never use hot water on them. Never leave your baby alone while bathing, not even for a second; it may be risky while you slip your eyes off your baby. If your baby is not very water friendly and becomes cranky while bathing, clean them with a sponge. Dip the sponge in a soapy water and wipe their body throughout with the sponge followed with dry cotton wipe. Give them some of their favourite toys to distract them; this will make your task easier, and your baby will be less cranky. Keep the room temperature warm so they don’t feel cold after their bathing session or while sponge bathing them.
